I cannot begin to tell you how many people I’ve met in the last few years who try to stuff EVERYTHING they can into an email blast, and then complain that their click-through rates are less than stellar.
There’s really a very simple formula for creating great-converting emails. The companies I’ve studied who have adopted this formula have improved not only their click-through rates, but they have improved their conversions by as much as 20%.
JUST KEEP IT INCREDIBLY SIMPLE
All your email needs is the following:
- Your logo
- An image to add context to the written words in the email
- A short paragraph about the page to which you are going to send them
- A nice call-to-action button
- A reason to click the button (a great offer or fantastic content at the destination)
With just this very simple formula, you’ll find that your all-image emails, all text emails, or “garbage-pizza-with-the-works” emails will pale in comparison.
